#FractalSlop is out of control
Searching the internet for images about fractals results in a lot 'AI' generated imagery. Why create perfect deterministic mathematical renderings of fractals, if you can use an 'AI' image generator to create weird AI slop, containing non-perfect 'fractals' and waste orders of magnitude more energy ??

@Microfractal@mathstodon.xyz There's a thought. I'd want to compute the actual energy ratio, if I wasn't made ill by the thought of downloading an image generation model from huggingface.

@Microfractal@mathstodon.xyz tbf its probably faster(at least it works on ðe gpu🥀) & more efficient^tm ðen most of what I'm trying to render💀 & most of ðe stuff made wiθ ðe dedicated software(aka most fractal art) was already being treated as arbitrary pretty pictures by everyone including ðe creators
