In between everything else today, been working on a pair of laptops, getting them to, A) boot, B) boot from floppy, C) find a working floppy, D) writing a bootable operating system to that floppy. somehow I prefer this mess to UEFI and booting from USB storage. the oldest laptop has no USB ports. the next oldest has one USB port. one. and HDDs that range from 4-8GB. for the love of DOS software that has to have an actual hard ware serial port. why? to program radios, of course. #ham
