@seanm@infosec.exchange @adr@mastodon.social At least with all of these alternatives your data is not used for training LLMs as they by default stay on your device. I don't think that rejecting products only because AI was used should be the solution. It may be one of many parameters. But that, of course, is my own opinion.

@mahlzahn@nerdculture.de @adr@mastodon.social I know that I can't completely avoid GenAI but I also desire to stand as firm as possible on not supporting or participating with GenAI. Maybe after the GenAI bubble bursts I'll be less strict. For now, I find it imperative to make GenAI-using projects and developers as uncomfortable and unsupported as possible. Conversely, I am trying to support non-GenAI projects as much as possible. I said it in another thread that I can't stop individual developers from using GenAI. But, I do think it is fair to hold projects accountable if they make it easy by integrating AGENTS.md and similar files into their codebase.
