@nuintari as someone who learned the inner workings of both protocols during my education, i do agree. not only is IPv6 not more complicated, it simplifies a lot of things too. even if we were to still be using NAT in the exact same way, there's still many areas where it's just simpler and better. it is faster on home networks where IPv4 is not used too, so everyone wins, really.

    @nuintari@mastodon.bsd.cafe for some reason we're still stuck mainly using IPv4 at work for our internal networking, despite all the hardware and software working with IPv6, but if what you prefer is to simply use IPv4, then no amount of evidence or discussion is going to change that, only time will.
