@txt_file@chaos.social I got uBlock Origin and I am still particularly pissed at Youtube today. I wanted to look up some DIY home repair stuff today, and often it's helpful to see it in action. The first two results were "sponsored shorts", as close to product ads as it gets. Then came a video titled "how to fix XYZ perfectly" and 3 minutes into the video it's clear that the fix doesn't work at all. Scrolling down further just listed completely unrelated vids. Completely useless!
