Roblox stock going down due to new child safety measures just means that businesses perform better or are perceived as better when there are pedophiles, abusers, or groomers into the mix. That, in some perverse way, they are a desirable thing. #Roblox #Investing #AgeVerification

@josejfernandez@todon.eu The EU Chat Control proposal and related age-verification mandates explicitly exempt government officials, military personnel, and intelligence agencies from surveillance and scanning obligations. Under the revised text, interpersonal communication services not publicly available or used for national security, law enforcement, or military purposes are excluded from the regulation’s scope. This exemption creates a two-tiered system where: State actors (politicians, soldiers, police, intelligence officers) are not subject to the scanning or age-verification requirements that apply to civilian users. Civilian communications on platforms like WhatsApp, Signal, and ProtonMail remain subject to monitoring, risk assessments, and mandatory age checks. Up to us to guess where we'll find more perpetrators of abuse.
