@tagomago@mastodon.social @toba@zeroes.ca the point of asking about a Marxist perspective is that most 18 year olds are unlikely to know what Marxism is, much less how to use it as a lense to view history. And the fact that the students' essays had Marxist talking points despite the students being unable to explain Marxism in person is a pretty strong confirmation that they didn't write the essays themselves.

Which leads me back to my previous message.
