@fritzoids@mas.to Excellent suggestion. In fact, men could learn to recognise when a woman or girl feels uncomfortable about a man moving in on them and watch that conversation and be ready to intervene and pretend the woman is your sister. It's not the glasses turning the guy into a predator.

@anne_twain@theblower.au yeah, or (something which is safer for men than women to do) get between the two, engage him, and just give her a chance to get away. The preferred way for anyone who lacks the physical presence to do that safely is of course going up and saying "Hey, Susan, thanks for waiting for me, let's go grab that coffee/ drink/ bus." and walk away with her.
