@thejikz@mastodon.social Gemini really doesn't work like that! It is supposed to format the text according to the settings and capabilities of the client browser. And it does.
If you want to enforce a monospace font and deliberate line breaks and lengths for your whole page, you'll have to wrap it in the ``` tags.

@lasse@social.tchncs.de yea, hence shattered. I am doing a deep dive in monospaces, and yes, this is exactly my rant issue with mobile client, and argument that it should be user controlled for width better. gemini is a stepping stone to these- certainly the header footers are not going to work for gemspace. MORE searching and pushing necessary. cheers!
