IT seems to think that lit searching and reading papers is busywork to automate. You can guess what I think.

(IT also seems to think that answering users' questions is busywork to automate, so my heuristic "the people closest to the work understand it best" may not be 100% correct ;) )

@nyhan@fediscience.org I hate it being sold as a research tool, even with the caveat of it being just a "starting point". The entire purose of background research is that you go through a lot of things, internalise it, and make judgements on what is relevant and isn't. Cognitively offloading that will just make you bad at research, and very quickly.
