@feditips@mstdn.social One of the things that keep surprising me (shame on me) is realising how difficult are some interactions with technology for many people. For me, it was sad to find out too late how descriptions could improve the user experience of blind people, how UI need to add additional visual feedback rather than only using colours as green or red (for color-blind people) and why optional subtitles need to be integrated in multimedia for the sake of comprehension.
Thanks for the reminder!

@febrezo@mastodon.social @feditips@mstdn.social yes—it can help to have a personal connection with people with disabilities. Since a friend of mine started to use a wheelchair, I notice a lot more often when sidewalks are not chair friendly. (I am also always moving those rental bikes that people leave in the middle of the sidewalk.)
