@ariarhythmic@ohai.social I am saying that people started to spell doom for the project like AI companies sponsoring Blender hasn't already been the case for a long time. It was a misplaced anger over project receiving much needed funding with no strings attached. I think it's much different from integrating "AI" into a project. I think many people don't understand how unstable funding is in FOSS. I think many throw "better it not existed at all if it can't exist without AI money" too easily.
