Utilitarianism is just a first-order derivative of hedonism. It's equally silly. Doing math with happiness. It's a capitalist analysis of the meaning of life. Happymaxxing. It runs right into Goodhart's law.
The recipe for a humane society can't be reduced to a single equation. Humans don't work that way.
