It's going to be worth it though, as the direct code generation and IR generation paths will both end up cleaner and simpler as a result of moving a lot of bookkeeping up a layer. I think this also is going to be helpful for wrangling things like small structures (especially slices, arrays-with-length, interfaces) stored in 2-3 parameter/local slots.
