@PaulWeinheimer@mastodon.social Hey Paul! RSS is like a format for feeds of posts/data. If a website has an RSS feed (like most WordPress blogs, for example), you can subscribe to the feed with a feed reader or an online service like Feedly. New posts will then show up in your reader. It is also the technology behind podcasts. This is how your podcast player knows that new episodes are available. It subscribed to the feeds. RSS can also be used to connect different sites or platforms with one another.
