@The_T@glaceon.social @tendstofortytwo@social.treehouse.systems slightly related, but that does remind me of how a friend gets confused on how mail from quebec to ontario is so much faster that from manitoba or alberta. i had to explain how it's really far, difficult to travel through, and that in general the ontario-manitoba border is kind of a bottleneck for the whole country upon further reflection it feels like a damn miracle how canada post gets stuff here from montreal within a few days and from calgary in under 2 weeks!
