I think the term applies, but being an immigrant and being a trans person for me have been such different experiences that it almost feels odd to lump them in together. in an ideal world I would like to completely forget I'm an immigrant, or not be one at all. on the other hand, I don't want to forget or be rid of my transness, because it's unlocked so much for me in terms of community, and in terms of thinking about myself and other people. it's a pretty "high up on maslow's triangle" sort of thing in that way

@tendstofortytwo@social.treehouse.systems i still hope you can get pr one day...but yeah. it's kind of what i meant even? they're such different experiences, only really related in the sense that you sometimes are seen differently, i guess they might not combine much (or maybe they do) but they're both things you deal with in some way, these combined aspects...
