I think that slogan reflects an occult belief in Anthroposophy (which I don't share) that hard physical work is spiritually purifying & will make you free from having to leave the "spiritual" world, which they think is the real world, to reincarnate on Earth, which I have come to think they blv is Purgatory, the place where, as they like to quote Buddha as saying, we are born to suffer (& come to be spiritually purified).
