But that’s the precise sort of smug but clueless scoldiness that’s part of the ethos here I find unpleasant. My role is to sit respectfully while insufferable bien-pensants instruct me? No thank you.

I’m also not scolding you for your choice—my response yesterday wished you well. And no, you need not sit, respectfully or otherwise. You identified a course of action: reducing time here. Instead you’ve apparently chosen to *increase* time posting here AND prove others’ assessment that you can’t handle criticism by lobbing idiotic colonialism insults.
