The physicists themselves are convinced because they believe themselves such "geniuses" that they need not actually become true scholars. They know no actual mathematics, nor logic and rules of plausible inference, nor random process analysis, nor epistemology, nor any of a thousand other things they ought to know but do not. They instead wing it and think they can, because they are just so freaking "smart". And they simply blow you off if you try to point out how wrong they are.▫️
