Autistic people are still subject to conversion therapy, everywhere.
Canada (and some other places) have banned conversion therapy for some queer people, but enforcement of these bans is effectively non-existent.
In practice, there are no protections against the medicalized torture of queer or autistic children.

I don't really have faith that there will ever be meaningful legal protections for queer or autistic people. We let parents torture their children for arbitrary reasons. The rights of queer and disabled people have always been third tier rights, especially when the people oppressing us claim to have religious motivations to do so. We should still try to do better, but things are bad.
