Well damn. I live in a city with a public transport system that, while we do complain, is quite decent and I have absolutely zero plans or desire to ever again own a car. I do however remember the public transport death loop of living in a smaller place. Once the public transport to the nearby city where everyone worked, studied, did their shopping and so on became unreliable a lot of people needed to get cars.
