The OP literally includes older generations blaming younger ones. Now you're creating layers of distraction by quibbling over what is or isn't "the real" distraction.
Who's to blame? Who cares, so long as you don't have to do anything about it, suffer any loss or inconvenience, or even admit you maybe share the slightest hint of fault.

Ok, I guess I should have been a suicide bomber, or harvest my invisible anime protagonist powers to just ignore the physical laws that stop me and billions of others from simply overthrowing the oligarchy. Or just take blame and feel guilty for ??? You no doubt live in a much more priviliged position, why don't you go play superhero instead? I have my own Lemmy Community plan and philosophy designed to adress this issue, but I can't run anything while making life or death decisions daily.
