@zkat@toot.cat Free text search / top posters is how I rapidly discovered who to follow for Covid, Ukraine, etc. I'm not actually sure how to replicate that here.

@benleis@mathstodon.xyz here, we use hashtags for that, and folks ime use hashtags more often in regular posts, precisely because of that. That way, they opt-in to that discovery.

@benleis@mathstodon.xyz @zkat@toot.cat hashtag searches are pretty useful. Then read the hashtag timeline and see who is being boosted.
