@mattiem@mastodon.social it lets you make synchronous a whole batch of work “within the family” which means you only need to think about establishing your invariants at start/end of the batch, instead of maintaining them at every await inside the batch (as you need to if each object in the family is an independent actor). I can see especially why *they’re* exploring these techniques, with the TCA library caring a lot about when updates become visible
