@technomancy@hey.hagelb.org Reading people's takes as "oh Codeberg will hit all the same issues as Github when it grows" is making me want to migrate off it back to my own Forgejo instance. I'm already mirroring, but issues and PRs aren't mirrored (I may have made a mistake when setting it up). But yeah jeez people, don't rush to replace one SPOF with another. My dream is that we had a culture of local code clubs in towns and universities that all ran federated code forges.

@krig@goto.liten.app yeah, on top of the democratic governance issue, I think it would make a huge difference if they made the login flow better for indie forgejos, in particular removing the need to manually register OAuth clients for every site you want to support login with: https://technomancy.us/#fn1
