serious question and i would greatly appreciate input (please feel free to boost) when i moved servers, i had to re-send follow requests to some of the people i was previously following; one of those folks (who happens to be one of my favorite people to follow on fedi) has not yet approved my follow request from this new account. however, i see that they are still following me. i really miss seeing their posts in my feed. which way is the actual best way to handle this scenario? 1: ping them in a post with the privacy set to ‘followers only’; let them know you migrated servers, sent a new follow request, and miss their posts in your feed, but there’s no pressure or hurt feelings if they don’t want to approve the follow request for any reason. 2: since they’re still following you, go ahead and send them a private message checking in with them about it. 3: probably best not to ping them or send a private message for various reasons; just sit tight and hope they eventually find your follow request. 4: a different suggestion, posted in the comments or sent via pm. #AskFedi #help #poll
