After much experimentation, I’ve settled back on News Explorer by @betamagic for RSS. I love Current, but it did make me realize that I use RSS in a different way than most probably do; I’ll bounce back to it but N.E. is back to my daily driver. Pre-filters allow me to block out stuff I don’t care about, in-app comment fetching works so well for Reddit feeds, and customizable smart filters allow me to slice and dice my feeds into chunks that work well for my brain. I do wish it would get a Liquid Glass update, if only for some of the niceties that come with that on iPadOS. Overall though it’s fast and top-notch! I run it on my Mac Mini server in server mode, then set my iOS/iPadOS apps to client sync so it’s very fast to update when I’m out and about. Highly recommend it if you’re interested in a traditional #RSS reader but don’t want to get into subscription hell. #apps #iPhone #iPad #mac
