@phette23 IDK, I think open source search layer development eg VuFind is what interests me most. I wouldn't call it exciting, but I think it's the best thing going.

@rowmyboat have you heard much about Aspen at all? We are a Koha library and it seems to be gaining some traction. I think it's somehow related to VuFind.
