@sunguramy First, try a different ink to make sure it's not just a wet ink. Assuming that's ok, they say that wider tines can increase ink flow. So if you can get them closer, great. But that also implies that a gap under the nib would also cause increased flow (as you mentioned.) Could you pull the nib close to the feed with string to test? I once decreased flow in a pen by laying a tiny bit of tooth floss along the feed slit. It was strange, but it worked.
