I tried using Gemma 4 and qwen3.5 (in Pi), passing it a copy of Things's .sqlite db. I wanted them to figure out the schema and deduce a query that would just return inbox items. I gave them examples of inbox items, and items in logbook or Today (that should not be matched). After an hour I had to give up - neither of them could work it out 💩

Felt like they failed on the starting line there. Was trying local models because this is my decade long todo list, didn't want it squirted up to the cloud

@iandundas I plugged the ~24GB qwen model into Claude. Neither speed nor quality of the output came clause to Claude's. It was okayish for very simple tasks, though. Guess I will be stuck with paying for online models for quite a while.
