Just made the switch to graphene a couple of months ago, it was remarkably easy. Bought a used pixel so as not to give google the cash. Flashing gos took probably 20 mins from unboxing to booting into gos. I thought I might have issues with banking apps, but all of mine work perfectly. I needed a little help from the forum to get my work profile set up, but that was the only snag I've hit so far. Very recommend 👍

@nicholas @megalomaniac @neil I have one phone with graphene and a really old moto (the 'test env') with Lineage. Graphene was easy to load works fine and like @nicholas I have had no probs., with a banking app. Kuketz, far as I remember, votes Graphene top for safety and data protection. Lineage, OTOH, can run Google Play (hence access to banking apps) if it is configured during the build process, else offers FDroid, which latter store will likely not have banking apps. Plus, as others note, a few alternative OS offerings depending if you have an old android phone in a drawer somewhere that is compatible. Pity there is no custom ROM for IOS. Given Google's plan to restrict Android app dev freedom, what I am after now is a Linux OS .... Good luck.
