#WritersCoffeeClub 7/5: Do readers need to understand a character's motivations to understand the story? I'd say a story makes more fun if you understand at least most of the characters, even if you don't share their ideas. If I just sit there mumbling, "And why would you do THAT???", I'll probably abandon the book at some point.
