@jarkman@chaos.social super interested, very limited electronics design experience but a lot of enthusiasm?

@jarkman@chaos.social sounds interesting, not too familiar with analogue electronics but I know how to make a mini drum from a piezoelectric sensor

@jarkman@chaos.social I knew I should have put a 3.5mm jack on the DECTalk hexpansion!

@jarkman@chaos.social very very interested. I’ve been *attempting* to wear some form of modular synth at EMF for almost a decade now. This is the first outing of the synth hat in 2018…

@jarkman@chaos.social I did take a quick look at the hexpansion spec, to see if a DAC + headphone out would be easy enough to cobble together for a Kicad beginner referring to MI schematics, but gave up after seeing just 3.3v. I've already got enough to do before EMF, soldering 5 modules (2 SMD) and building a 4Ux62hp case out of Penn-Elcom extrusions, as an upgrade from the one the Workshop System comes in. --- o/ @Gogledd@meow.social fancy seeing a fellow Wiggle Roomer on fedi ;)

@jarkman@chaos.social I was guilty of using the '22 badge to perpetrate Euclidean rhythms, sent to a couple of Bastl Kastles via some breadboard 3.5mm sockets in a vacant NullSector container. I did wonder about I2C DACs for CV-out on the current badge, with suitable passive RC filters to smooth out the dots. (Did that with some Bela boards...) Also keep wanting ulab in micropython on the badge for making noises: https://micropython-ulab.readthedocs.io/en/latest/
