I'm obviously not involved in policy/legislation/planning etc. but I hope to fuck we learn a few lessons as a country after this protest or the whole ordeal will have had no meaningful outcome at all 1) Renewable energy infrastructure is a necessity - it only took 4/5 DAYS to bring the country to it's knees. That's an Achilles Heel that simply can't be exploited again. 2) To lessen the impact a protest like this has on societies ability to function, reduce reliance on cars altogether... 1/3

2a) More reliable, affordable and accessible public transport across the board. Not just bus routes but rail options too. 2b) Make cycling a more viable/safe mode of transport. More cycle lanes, expand the bike to work scheme even further. Ebikes and escooters are great and should be made safer, not criminalised 2c) Incentivise remote working and implement & enforce real WFH legislation/policies to support workers 2/3
