I am really clueless! How can we / someone tell journalists (#Deutschlandfunk, #derFreitag, #NDR Info, etc.pp.) that an American #billion (short scale) is a German #milliard (long scale)? I sooo regularly read and listen to misinterpretations of American financial numbers that are not converted by German press authors and thus secretly / implicitly multiplied by 10^3.

For those who can't handle exponential numbers and powers of 10, this probably does not make much of a difference, but for those who can, it definitely does!!! Arggghhh (my brain hurts!!!)
