As an end user, I really, really would like to use less software coming from the silicon valley. Unfortunately, the usability of #opensource software is often lacking. Current example: Opening an empty .odt in #OpenOffice, writing a few sentences without adding any formatting causes a confusing alert message upon saving: "This document may contain formatting or content that cannot be saved in this format. [...] Do you want to save in current format or in ODT?"
