@rogerparkinson not a feeling I'm familiar with. We always have dishes waiting to be washed. Doesn't everyone in a flat with people running on different time schedules?
We wait till the dishwaher is almost full before turning it on. The wash by hand stuff gets rinsed and is fine waiting.
Is there a problem with this? Are you expecting the King or your auntie to visit?

@Kay I usually have a few waiting to be washed, but sometimes there are more than a few and if, at the same time, there are baking projects to be done, the regret sets in.
