I think there is wide misunderstanding in how money has influence over #openSource projects. Make no mistake, given the source of the money here, people are rightfully concerned. However, there is typically (but not always) good firewalls between money and governance (i.e. engineering). It's possible to not take money at all (see #Valkey) but it's not easy to get lots of things done.
