@gregeganSF I have a recurring fantasy that a sorcerer splits the timeline in such a way that everyone who sincerely believes that the world would be happier without some other set of people gets their wish. Afterward many of us, perhaps most, live in many successor worlds at once, and share memories when we sleep.
