So, Inland Rail is done now. https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2026/may/05/albanese-government-abandons-beleaguered-inland-rail-project-connecting-nsw-with-queensland I would have liked to see a properly conceived, designed and implemented version of this. But the way it was actually going to come about, with zero community consultation, bonkers decision-making and largely adverse impacts on the rural towns, it's probably better left alone. #rail #railFreight #auspol
