@vampiress I do devops for embedded systems. One of the CI build systems requires: Windows, with a gui, with MSOffice (no alternatives! We tried!), with a logged in user, with wsl. We managed to get all that into an ephemeral virtual machine that can be spun up on demand in 4 minutes without wsl (so the job can start doing the non-wsl things), then tack on another 6 minutes to get wsl running. Fortunately, the plan is to switch to linux but it's going to be a mulit-year effort.
