Dad's "investigative surgery" to see why he has blood in his urine (and a UTI) got moved up from next week to tomorrow morning. He's seeing the urologist who has been dealing with his prostate cancer - "the kind you die with, not of," was what we were told - although now, I dunno. Thing is, he's going to be 87 in September. He has Alzheimer's. Hospital won't be easy, even for a day. My brother has taken another day off work so he can be there for Mum and Dad tomorrow. (Thank goodness.) They decided not to tell my SIL all this is happening because they didn't want her to rush home from her family stuff (she's in Korea until the end of the month) but Mum misses her "dreadfully." They don't want me there, I offer daily in my phone calls. (And my suitcase is ready.) "Should I take my rolly walker to the hospital? It gets in the way, but it lets people know that I need extra help with him at home." Good idea Mum. Good idea.
