One oversight notwithstanding, that was a good idea: unless, for some reason, the word “lederhosen” is meant to appear in the project, it would have been way to search for and replace before going to production. Of course, one has to remember to actually do this.

@acb@mastodon.social The default texture for the motorbike riders in Microprose’s GP500 (PC, 1999) is a guy wearing only red undies, so it was easy to spot riders that didn’t have specific textures before the game was released. There’s a cheat code (REDJOX iirc) to have all riders in the race dressed this way.
