The moment anyone tries to make a legal claim that LLMs are sentient beings, we need to demand that they make the full code public so that they aren't holding a living being in slavery, and stop charging for access to an enslaved consciousness. They'll still be wrong, but that whole argument needs to be shot down before they start claiming they should be subsidized for keeping their energy-wasting monolith "alive".
