@christopher @hwang Yeah that's the key difference - I'm not looking for a UPS but rather something that can charge when the grid is cheap, and then have connected appliances use the charge only when the grid is expensive, effectively ignoring the grid at those times. The kicker being you want something that knows to switch back to grid before the battery dies, even if it's expensive. The EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus mentions a Time of Use feature that might do part of this but it's very light on details. Unfortunately it's also very expensive in Australia :(

    @lukasm @christopher It does have that - at least in the US you can go in the app and select your utility and time of day plan. It should then optimize its charging accordingly. In practice, I’m not sure how well it actually works. It seems that you need to launch the app fairly regularly or the power station doesn’t really know what to do - it’s not as self-contained as it ought to be. There’s a somewhat related storm mode that I’ve never seen work properly either. These are things that would be more reliably automated with HA and a smart plug.
