When people complain about the times that we are full up and can't take any more donations in, this sort of thing doesn't help - the donations that are not in a saleable state, and need to be put in the bin, or may be able to go for ragging and won't cost quite so much to get rid of as waste, but we only get a few pence per kilo for them, which doesn't really compensate for the time, effort, and space that they use up that could have been used for accepting actual saleable donations.
