🧵 Small thread, just because! I love pencils. I love drawing and writing with them, the smell when you sharpen them, and how damn pleasing they are to pick up anytime and get ideas out of your head. They are my favorite creative tool, bar none.

And I think what makes them really rise above everything else is that unlike many creative tools from brushes to software — they are so inexpensive. You can find a decent pencil most anywhere for a quarter or less, and a very nice pencil for a dollar.
