Spent the last few days poking at the boundaries of my knowledge and (to my surprise) managed to set up a #PiHole for my home network. It's been chuggling along for about a week now, athough I had to learn a lot to even be able to debug the issues I faced, let alone "fix" them. Got there in the end, though, and it feels great to learn new things. I also pulled together a #BirdNETPi, a magical little box that listens for and identifies birds, for my parents. I wrote a script so that when it identifies a bird, it plays the saved recording through a smart speaker, but I might have to turn that off in the summertime!
