@leo I guess it's not *that* bad (I didn't look at the numbers in the blogpost lmao I just saw I had the 4gb model and went what the fuck) but it's still probably putting up huge numbers for a single relatively-invisible automatic software update with obscure opt-out mechanisms

@vn its only installed on fairly high end systems and it's automatically removed as soon as free disk space falls below a certain threshold (even if currently in use, as warned in the developer docs) so i don't see it causing issues in practice. maybe on metered connections but i have to assume they check the OS flag for that and modern systems waste so much bandwidth on unmetered connections anyway
